Danville Local School District

Income Tax Update 12/31/24 All of us (including myself) that live in the Danville Local School District probably received a letter from the Ohio Department of Taxation notifying us that our school district income tax is being adjusted from 1.50% to 1.75%. This was a result of the renewal that voters approved in November of 2023. The district has a .50% continuing income tax that was approved in 1990. In 2010 an additional 1.25% income tax was approved. In 2016 the Board of Education voluntarily reduced the additional 1.25% by .25% (1.00%). The .50% continuing plus the additional 1.00% equated to the 1.50% that was collected during the remaining years for that levy. When the Board of Education asked voters for the renewal of the income tax in November of 2023, the state required the renewal to be back at the original rate of 1.25%. This rate was voter approved for the next 10 years. That is why a total of 1.75% (.50% continuing and 1.25% additional) will now be collected. This revenue generates funds for operating expenses such as staff salaries, utilities, transportation and building maintenance. These funds are vital to us being able to maintain the high level of expectations that our district has for all aspects of our school district. Saturday's (12/28) girls game vs Northridge will be Varsity only beginning at 1pm. We will also be recognizing our girls youth teams during halftime.

12-23-24 - Last round of items from the old Intermediate put out today. There are also many basketball, softball, baseball, volleyball jersey and other band items for years past. Most uniforms are from the late 80's and 90's. Jerseys and items will be available in the HS gym lobby during home varsity games through January 6th.

Mondays (12/23) HS girls basketball game @ Lucas will be varsity only starting at 6pm.

Saturday's (12/21) HS boys basketball game vs Fredericktown will be a 1pm start time for JV with Varsity to follow.

Round 3 for items that can be picked up for free at the old Admin building! These items go quickly!

Tomorrow's (12/19) JH girls game vs EK will be played up at the HS gym starting at 5:30pm.

Tonight and for the remainder of the season all HS girls basketball games will be 2 quarters of JV so the Varsity games will start earlier.

WINTER DISCO BALL January 11th, 2025 - 7 pm-9 pm Danville Elementary Cafeteria 7th & 8th Grade Students Only

Grades 7-12 exams will be held on 12/19 and 12/20. Students who start or end their day with a study hall are permitted to come in late or leave early. These absences will not count towards a students attendance hours. Students will not be permitted to leave once in the building, then return for a later exam. Students leaving early should bring in a note or send an email to the office that states your student has permission to leave early. Please see the attached exam schedule.

Varsity boys home opener tonight (12/14) vs Centerburg. JV to start at 6pm and Varsity to follow. With the construction we will have 2 gates open for all HS events this winter. Please see the attached map for parking and gate entrances. Go Blue!

Due to snow covered and slippery roads this morning, Danville Local Schools are on a 2 hour delay for Friday, December 13th.

PANCAKES and PAJAMAS Students, join us on Friday, December 20th, in your pajamas for Danville Elementary's annual Christmas breakfast! MENU Pancakes, sausage, eggs, fruit, yogurt, milk, and juice. Additional activities include cookie decorating, reindeer games, a photo booth, and a craft station.
